If you have ever been to a music gig or concert you will be familiar with Marshalls for their amplifiers and speakers. If you are local to Milton Keynes you will also know that they currently sponsor the Milton Keynes Arena.
Not the biggest job that Swoosh Decor (Commercial) Ltd have ever undertaken but it was a thrill to work for such an iconic brand and we wanted to shout about it. If only to quote the Studio Manager and the best instruction we have had during a job.
The live music stage at Marshall Studios, Milton Keynes is used for live performances and for band promotional photo shoots. However artists had complained that the white walls, ceiling and columns on and around the stage did not give the right look for these photos.
The job therefore was to paint everything on or around the stage “black” instead of “white”. Those of you with keen eyes will see in the photos above that the pillars by the stage have a grey, imitation “skirting board” at the bottom. Our decorator asked Studio Manager, Adam Beard what was to be done with these. His reply – “In the immortal words of the Rolling Stones, if in doubt …”
