Commercial Office Painting

Throughout the latter part of 2023 and early 2024 Swoosh Decor (Commercial) Ltd undertook one of its largest painting & decorating project to date, with the task to modernise and re-fresh Harpole Primary School in Northampton. Yes, the whole of the school.

It is not clear how long Harpole Primary School had had it’s incumbent colour scheme but the pale yellow walls and bright blue woodwork as seen in the picture of the assembly hall below before the decoration works took place.

The project scope included painting of:

New library

Entrance lobby
Reception office
Head Teachers office

SEND rooms
Six classrooms

Computer room

Staff / visitor toilets

Childrens toilets

All corridors and

Assembly / sports hall

After completing the commercial painting of the new library facility and SEND rooms during term time in early Summer, Swoosh Decor (Commercial) Ltd’s DBS checked painters undertook the bulk of the decorating work during the School Summer holiday of 2023.

The work entailed rubbing down walls and woodwork where required. Caulking and filling gaps and holes, priming and undercoating woodwork, and finishing off with the relevant top coats.

NB. Our decorators are also IPAF qualified and PASMA qualified to enable safe working at height in a range of different situations.

The materials used were:

Toupret quick dry filler – our favourite goto utility filler.

Wall Paint – Dulux Trade Diamond Matt – Dulux’ premium durable, wipeable Matt emulsion

Colour: Dulux Khaki Mists 5 (Ref. 30YY 69/048)

Woodwork paint – Dulux Satinwood (solvent based) – hard wearing and durable.

Colour: Farrow & Ball No. 26 Downpipe

Metalwork paint – Dulux Metalshield (external grade – solvent based) – for toughness and durability

Colour: Farrow & Ball No. 26 Downpipe
